Our school has, for the second consecutive time, received reaccreditation from Cognia, an international quality educational accreditation that we have held since 2019. Additionally, we have been recognized as the first institution in Bogotá, the second in Colombia, and the fourth in Latin America to receive the prestigious STEM certification from Cognia. This combination has been optimized through strategic pedagogical alliances and collaborations with universities, reinforcing the school’s commitment to cutting-edge education.
Partnership with Major Universities
The Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito and the Universidad del Rosario are the universities with which CIEDI is advancing i-STEM Inquiry Units. The partnership includes planning and curriculum design to identify possible engineering contexts that can be simulated in their specialized laboratories.
Experiences Framed within the I-STEM Learning Approach
E5 Challenge – Energy Race is the first inter-school STEM race organized by our school. In its first edition, 4th and 5th-grade students faced the challenge of creating a human-powered vehicle or Pushcart, which was tested on speed and versatility tracks in a circuit specially designed at our school’s facilities.
