Our individualized follow-up process starts with the admission’s process, which objective is to get to deeply know each child and each family who dreams of becoming a part of our CIEDI family.

Registration Form

Inscription through the registration form

Conference o Informational Meeting

Attendance at the conference or informational meeting. Our commitment is to fully present our educational project, our principles, and the facilities and services that we provide, so this first meeting is essential.

Payment of the Admission Process

Payment of the Admission Process ($ 200,000 Colombian Pesos). This can be made in the school treasury, by an online payment via PSE, or at Banco Davivienda (in the name of CIEDI LTDA., In savings account No. 451800173739- NIT 860350127-8.)

Admission Application

Completion of the Online Admission Application. A link and a password will be sent via email to parents to complete the five parts of the Application for Admission online. (see required documents)

Attendance at the Parent Interview

Attendance at the Parent Interview. In this space we seek to learn more about the student's family context.

Application for Admission

Study of the Application for Admission by the admissions committee, in which the continuation of the process is determined.

Observation of the applicant

In this space we seek to meet each of our aspiring students in their entirety, for this we have two modalities: In the face-to-face structure, if permited, children come to school as follows: Preschool: Observation and integration (1 full school day, from 8am to 2:30 pm). Primary, Middle and High School: 1st day - Academic and skills tests. 2nd day - Classroom integration (that is, 2 full school days).

Feedback of the process

Feedback of the process. In a final meeting with the parents, the results of the admission process are presented and the steps to follow are reported.

Quota Reservation

Once the process is finished, the payment of the quota reservation for the school year to which it is being applied is made.

Age of Entry

Preschool

Preschool: Students begin their school process at CIEDI when they are 3 or 4 years old. This age must be reached by August of the starting school year. 3-year-olds enter Pre-kindergarten and 4-year-olds enter Kinder 4. No level of English proficiency is required in these first two levels.
Students entering at 5 or 6 years, Kinder 5 or Transition, may require external leveling in English.

Primary

Students who apply to First Grade or later courses must have a high level of English in writing, reading and listening, according to the standard of the grade to which they aspire.

Secondary

Applications will be evaluated individually.

International Equivalence

CIEDI is an international school, which supports foreign families or expatriate families returning to their country. For this reason, we have an equivalence table relating three reference curricula, so that families can identify the appropriate course for entry to our school. If the student’s curriculum of origin is not in the table, the admissions department will clarify the issue at the information meeting.

Required Documents

- Student photo.
- Family photo.
- Last Kindergarten report, or last three academic reports from the previous school.
- Confidential recommendation form processed by the kindergarten or the previous school (the file is sent once the admission process has started).
- Reports from specialists to whom the student has been referred (if applicable): occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology, others.
- Parent employment certifications.
- For independent circumstances: income statement and RUT.
- For foreign residents: Copy of parent’s visa and also of the student if applicable.
